Former "Chelsea" and England defender John Terry is among the candidates for the head coach position at "Oxford United", a club competing in England’s second tier, the Championship.
According to İdman.Biz, citing The Sun, the club’s management is closely monitoring Terry’s coaching activities. After ending his playing career, he worked as an assistant to Dean Smith at "Aston Villa" and later at "Leicester City", before beginning to build his own coaching path through various projects. At present, Terry is involved in mini-football and works with the "26ers" team in the Baller League project.
"Oxford United" are also considering other options for the role, including former "Rangers" and "Sunderland" manager Michael Beale, who is regarded as the leading contender.
After 23 rounds of the Championship, "Oxford United" have collected 22 points and sit in 21st place in the standings. The team is separated from the relegation zone only by goal difference.
