Legendary Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has commented on the club’s current transfer policy, noting that it played an important role in the start of a new phase in the team’s development, Idman.Biz reports.
"I think the signing of goalkeeper Lammens played its part. He is only 23 years old, a quick and big guy, good with the ball, and I think that helped. I think the team needed a player like that. United have always had inspiring players over the years. I think it helped," Ferguson was quoted as saying by Goal.
Senne Lammens joined Manchester United from Belgian club Antwerp on September 1, 2025. The transfer fee amounted to 20 million euros.
