Atalanta midfielder Ederson, whose contract with the Italian club runs until June 2027, has become the subject of discussion by his agent, Andre Cury.
Idman.Biz reports that the representative spoke about a potential transfer for his client and his possible adaptation to Barcelona’s playing system.
"Ederson could adapt very well to Barcelona’s system, as he has good physical condition and stamina.
This is a good opportunity because his contract is approaching its end. Atalanta didn’t want to sell him despite large offers. I think they will arrange a transfer in winter or summer.
Atalanta asked for a lot of money – between €60 million and €75 million. He is approaching the end of his contract, so they could lower the price by half – to €30-40 million. But he is an amazing player, one of the best in Europe statistically in his position," Cury told Football Italia.
According to Transfermarkt, the current market value of the Brazilian midfielder is €45 million. This season, Ederson has played in 12 matches across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
