Chelsea’s 18-year-old Brazilian forward Estevao Willian has become the third player in history aged 19 or younger to score in each of his first three Champions League matches as a starter.
According to Idman.Biz, citing Opta, the forward scored against “Barcelona” in the home game of Group Stage Round 5 (3:0), making it 2:0 in the 55th minute.
Previously, Estevao scored in Round 3 of the Champions League against “Ajax” (1:0 at home) and Round 4 against “Qarabag” (2:2 away), both times starting in the lineup. Before that, the forward had only appeared in Champions League matches as a substitute.
It is worth noting that only 18-year-old Kylian Mbappe and 19-year-old Erling Haaland have managed to score in all three of their first Champions League starts as teenagers.
