The issue of tickets for the Qarabag vs. Chelsea match being sold at inflated prices on social media is under the scrutiny of both the club and law enforcement authorities.
Anar Hajiyev, press secretary of Qarabag, told AZERTAC that investigations will be conducted into illegal ticket sales for the UEFA Champions League group stage match in Baku against Chelsea.
Jasarat Ganbarli from the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) stated that police officers will take legal measures and verify all information related to unauthorized ticket sales: “Each report will be checked with prompt response to illegal sales.”
Representatives of the iTickets.az website explained that the difficulties in purchasing tickets were due to high traffic immediately after sales opened, resulting in an online queue of 25,000 people: “Tickets were sold in sequence, and at that time only the 75 AZN and VIP sector tickets were available.”
The Qarabag vs. Chelsea match will take place on November 5 at Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium, starting at 21:45 local time.
