The 37-year-old relative of the Azerbaijani footballer reportedly lived separately from his family and is believed to have taken his own life.
Idman.Biz, citing Yeni Sabah, reports that Sabit Agayev was alone at home at the time of the incident.
“Due to disagreements between his parents and wife, Sabit had recently rented a separate apartment and started living apart with his family. Yesterday evening, he came to Tala village and committed suicide. His wife was not home at the time. He leaves behind a young child. Sabit was one of two children in the family and had a sister. His grandmother previously worked as a primary school teacher in Tala village,” relatives said.
Another claim suggests that Agayev had accumulated significant debts that he was unable to repay, which may have led him to take his own life.
As previously reported, the body of 1988-born Sabit Agayev, a resident of Ashagi Tala village in the Zagatala district, was found hanging in an unfinished building near his home by family members. The Zagatala District Prosecutor’s Office is conducting an investigation.
He was the cousin of Azerbaijani footballer Mahir Emreli.

Idman.Biz, citing APA, reports that the incident occurred yesterday around 11:00 p.m. in the village of Ashagi Tala.
The body of 1988-born Sabit Agayev, a resident of the village, was found hanging in an outbuilding at his home by family members.
An investigation is underway at the Zagatala District Prosecutor’s Office.
It is noted that Sabit Agayev was the cousin of the well-known footballer Mahir Emreli.
