Azerbaijani national team player Mahir Emreli is considering leaving German club Kaiserslautern.
According to Idman.Biz, citing sport24.az, the forward is already looking for a new team.
Sources indicate that Emreli has made this decision due to his inability to secure playing time in recent matches. He is even considering terminating his contract by mutual consent during the winter transfer window if no offers materialize.
Previously, Kaiserslautern’s head coach Torsten Lieberknecht stated that Emreli was not fit to play in any capacity. The player also did not participate in training before the match against his former club Nurnberg, citing health issues. However, Emreli is in good condition and took this step to send a message to the club.
The Azerbaijani forward joined Kaiserslautern from Nurnberg in the summer and has also played abroad for Poland’s Legia, Croatia’s Dinamo, and Turkiye’s Konyaspor.
