The main goal of the seminars organized under the project “Tofiq Bahramov – 100: The Legacy of Fair Play” is to honor the memory of the Azerbaijani referee and promote his legacy across the country.
Gulaga Jabarov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Football Referees’ Public Union, shared this information in a statement to Report.
He noted that the events are open to the public: “The purpose of these seminars is to pay tribute to Tofiq Bahramov and raise awareness about him in Azerbaijan. The seminars are not only for referees — we’ve organized them for ordinary people and sports specialists in different regions. Besides AFFA’s administrative building in Baku, the seminars have also been held in Lankaran, Quba, Sheki, and Lerik. Additional sessions will be held in Baku, Sumgayit, and Ganja.”
Jabarov added that the initiative was launched to mark the 100th anniversary of Tofiq Bahramov: “Our goal is to commemorate his memory. We share a lot of information during the seminars, which is of great interest to both people and young participants. We have also prepared a booklet dedicated to the legendary referee’s centenary. During the seminars, we present these booklets along with participation certificates.”
