Robert Lewandowski, the striker for Spain’s Barcelona and the Polish national team, has sustained a serious injury while with his national squad.
Idman.Biz, citing the official Barcelona website, reports that the 37-year-old forward has been diagnosed with a left thigh hamstring tendon injury.
The club’s press office stated that Lewandowski’s recovery timeline will depend on the progress of his treatment. In the 2025/2026 season, the striker has appeared in seven La Liga matches, scoring four goals.
Earlier, the Polish national team defeated Lithuania 2-0 in the eighth round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, with Lewandowski scoring one of the goals.
