Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele has named teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia the best footballer in the world and backed the Georgian winger to win this year's Ballon d'Or.
As reported by İdman.Biz, both Dembele and Kvaratskhelia are among the 30 nominees for the prestigious individual award. The Ballon d'Or ceremony will take place in London on October 26.
"He is the best player in the world. I would be very happy if he won the Ballon d'Or because he deserves it. The season he had was exceptional. For me, he is the best player in the world, and that is why he deserves to win this award," Dembele told the Ligue 1 press service.
Dembele won the Ballon d'Or last year following an outstanding campaign with PSG.
Kvaratskhelia has represented the Parisian club since 2025. Last season, the Georgia international made 48 appearances for PSG in all competitions, scoring 19 goals and providing 11 assists.
The 25-year-old has established himself as one of the key figures in the French club's attack since joining PSG.
