Ukraine national team head coach Sergiy Rebrov commented on rumors about a possible move to Panathinaikos during a press conference ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan, Idman.Biz reports.
“Again... At the first press conference, everything was also about confirming or denying something. When a coach works well, there’s always interest in him. Look at how any piece of news gets blown up - ‘How is it possible? Someone is interested in Rebrov?’ But that’s natural. I didn’t end up with the national team by accident - I had a good job before this one as well.
But right now, I’m focused on working with the Ukrainian national team. I respect my country and will work here until the end,” Rebrov’s words were quoted by the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF).
It should be noted that the match between Ukraine and Azerbaijan will take place today and will kick off at 22:45 Baku time.
