Qarabag president Tahir Gozel has once again addressed AFFA and SOCAR president Rovshan Najaf.
Idman.Biz, citing sportinfo.az, reports that the head of the Agdam club requested assistance in resolving an ongoing issue.
The matter concerns a plot of land designated for the construction of the club’s academy, which is currently under SOCAR’s ownership.
The oil company’s land is adjacent to the area where Qarabag’s stadium is located. The “Qarabag” have long intended to develop infrastructure there and promote youth football. The project prepared for this purpose has reportedly remained on the table for years.
It was noted that Qarabag does not intend to purchase the land outright. The club’s goal is to lease it long-term in order to build an academy building, several pitches, and a training base for children and teenagers.
