Maryam Huseynova: “I definitely need to work on my mistakes”

Azerbaijan’s national track cyclist Maryam Huseynova has shared her thoughts on her performance at the Kazakhstan Open Championship.

The young cyclist told Report that it was her first time competing in an international tournament, Idman.biz reports.

“It was both a challenging and exciting experience for me,” said Huseynova.
“I placed third overall in the tournament in Kazakhstan. I became aware of many of my mistakes, and I definitely need to work on them going forward. I now eagerly look forward to future training camps and competitions. I’ll keep striving to raise our flag on the international stage.”

Notably, the cyclist competed in the omnium event for girls born in 2009–2010, where she ranked third overall among 38 participants after three combined races.

In addition, Huseynova had already earned a bronze medal in the 200-meter sprint at the same championship.
