The winners of the Azerbaijan Track Cycling Championship have been determined.
According to Idman.Biz, citing the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation’s press service, nearly 50 athletes from clubs and sports societies participated in the competition held at the National Velodrome.
In the three age categories, cyclists tested their strength in group heats by accumulating points. In the U-15 category, athletes covered a distance of 14 kilometers. Timur Rajabov took first place, Islam Aliyev second, and Ismayil Khankishiev third.
In the U-17 category, cyclists raced over 18 kilometers, with Nihad Khudoyev, Chingiz Isayev, and Javid Bakhshiyev finishing in the top three positions.
In the Youth, U-23, and Elite categories, athletes competed over 24 kilometers. Tural Israfilov claimed victory, followed by Rahim Naghiyev with silver and Jamal Ibrahimzade with bronze.
The winners were awarded medals and diplomas by the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation.
