The Azerbaijani women’s chess team has started a new training camp in Naftalan.
According to Idman.biz, the Azerbaijan Chess Federation confirmed that the main goal of the camp is to prepare for the European Team Chess Championship.
Over the course of a week, the Azerbaijani players will train under the guidance of World Cup semifinalist Nijat Abasov and three-time European champion Gadir Guseinov.
The national team includes Ulviyya Fataliyeva, Govhar Beydullayeva, Gulnar Mammadova, Khanim Balajayeva, and Ayan Allahverdiyeva. Ilaha Kadimova serves as the team captain.
The European Team Chess Championship will be held in Batumi, Georgia, from October 4 to 15.
