Azerbaijani chess player Khagan Ahmad won a bronze medal in the World Championship among 8-12-year-old children in Sharm El-Sheikh (Egypt).

Idman.biz informs that the latter played a draw with Matfey Yurasov (FIDE), who played in the U-12 category in the XI round.

In the end, Ahmad, who scored 8 points, won a bronze medal based on additional indicators. Another Azerbaijani chess player, Pasham Alizade, who won the last round against Kazakhstan's Mark Smirnov, took the 5th place.

Chinese Duy Dau (9.5 points) and Vietnamese Kiet Nguyen (8.5) took first place among chess players under 12 years of age.
