Azerbaijani chess player Gunay Mammadzada became a bronze medalist of the rapid world championship in Düsseldorf as part of the Indian MGD1 team.
According to İdman.biz, based on the results of 12 rounds, the MGD1 team won three matches, drew once, and collected 18 points. On the last day of the tournament, Mammadzada played two matches: she defeated Indian representative Priyanka Nutakki from the "Six-pack" team, and also ended the duel peacefully with Luiza Bashilina, representing the "Germany and friends" team.
"WR Chess" including Rameshbabu Pragnananda, the finalist of the Baku World Cup, won the Rapid World Championship. The team scored 22 points, two points ahead of Freedom, featuring silver medalist Viswanathan Anand.
