A chess tournament dedicated to Victory Day was held in Rotterdam, organized by the “Karabakh” Sports Club under the Congress of Benelux Azerbaijanis and supported by the Azerbaijan Diaspora Support Fund.
According to Idman.Biz, the tournament aimed to raise awareness of the significance of Victory Day among children, strengthen patriotism in the younger generation, and support their intellectual development.
Children of various age groups living in the Benelux countries participated in the competition, which was organized in a round-robin format.
Officials from the Azerbaijani diplomatic corps in the Kingdom of the Netherlands also attended the event. It was noted that such events help children preserve and develop their national identity and patriotic feelings.
Winners were determined in different age categories. All participants received certificates, medals, and commemorative gifts.
