The second-round matches of the European Team Chess Championship were held in Batumi, Georgia.
According to Idman.biz, the Azerbaijani men’s team, consisting of Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Rauf Mamedov, Aydin Suleymanli, and Mahammad Muradli, drew 2:2 with the Czech Republic in the reporting round. Mamedyarov won his game, Mamedov lost, while Suleymanli and Muradli settled for draws.
The Azerbaijani women’s team defeated Hungary 2.5:1.5 in the second round. Ulviyya Fataliyeva and Ayan Allahverdiyeva won their matches, Govhar Beydullayeva drew, and Khanim Balajayeva was defeated.
It should be noted that the European Championship will conclude on October 14.
