The Azerbaijani national youth boxing team participated in the “Belt and Road” international tournament in China as part of their training camp.
Our team concluded the competition, held in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region with participants from 19 countries, with four medals, Idman.biz reports.
Among our boxers, Hakverdi Hasanov (63 kg) became the tournament champion, defeating a Kazakh opponent in the final. Saftar Mammadzada (+80 kg) won silver, while Raul Heydarli (57 kg) and Adil Zalov (70 kg) earned bronze medals.
Our team continues its preparation for the CIS Games in China and will return to Baku on September 1.
