The basketball tournament at the “Los Angeles 2028” Summer Olympics will begin on July 12, two days before the opening ceremony.
Idman.biz, citing FIBA, reports that it is not yet clear whether the tournament will start with men’s, women’s, or both competitions on that date.
The preliminary schedule includes three games on July 12 and 13.
This change allows the quarterfinals to be played over two days. Bronze medal matches will take place on July 28 and 29, while gold medal games are scheduled for July 29 and 30.
The Olympics will conclude on July 30.
