Wembanyama makes NBA history with unprecedented first-half performance

San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama has become the first player in the NBA's play-by-play era to record at least 25 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks in a single half.

As reported by İdman.Biz, citing basketball statistician Jordan Howenstine, the 22-year-old Frenchman achieved the historic feat during San Antonio's regular-season game against the Dallas Mavericks on November 5.

By halftime, Wembanyama had already registered an extraordinary 29 points, 15 rebounds, five blocks and two steals, helping the Spurs establish a commanding 68-51 lead.

According to ESPN Insights, no other NBA player over the past 30 seasons had even managed to combine 25 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks in a single half.

The achievement is particularly remarkable in the context of San Antonio's history. Previously, only franchise legends David Robinson and Tim Duncan had recorded at least 29 points, 15 rebounds, five blocks and two steals in a game. However, both required an entire match to reach those numbers.

Despite holding a 17-point halftime advantage, San Antonio faced a dramatic comeback from Dallas in the second half. The Spurs ultimately secured a narrow 112-111 victory.

Wembanyama, widely regarded as one of the NBA's most talented young players, continues to demonstrate his unique combination of scoring ability, rebounding dominance and defensive impact.

The game began at 06:30 Baku time on November 5.
