Sabah has made another signing during the off-season.
The Azerbaijani champion has signed a two-year contract with 27-year-old French national team basketball player Jean-Marc Pansa, Idman.biz reports.
The new signing, who stands at 207 cm tall, plays as a power forward.
Pansa last played for JL Bourg en Bresse, a team competing in France's Betclic ELITE ProA league. In 34 games there, he averaged 7.3 points and 3.9 rebounds, helping his team reach the semi-finals. He also appeared in 18 EuroCup games, averaging 8.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks. In the 2023/2024 season, he played for another French team, Boulazac Basket (ProB).
Pansa has been called up to the French national team since 2024. He previously played for Olympique Antibes, Pole France, JSF Nanterre, and Nanterre. Throughout his career, he has received several awards and was part of the final series of France’s ProB league in 2024. That same year, he was named “Best Domestic Player of the Year” in France’s ProB league by Eurobasket.com.
Sabah will compete in the Basketball Champions League in the 2025/2026 season.
