The Baku stage of the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series kicked off today, featuring 16 teams competing for top honors.
Six lower-ranked teams are taking part in the qualifying round, with the winners of two mini-groups advancing to the main draw, where they will join 10 pre-seeded teams, Idman.biz reports.
In their opening group match, Team Azerbaijan faced the Netherlands, but unfortunately fell short, losing 19–13.

Main round:
Group A: Netherlands, Prague, Azerbaijan
Group B: China, Takasaki, Chile
Group C: Thailand, Latvia, Qualifier A1
Group D: Austria, Philippines, Qualifier B1
Azerbaijan will play their Group A matches on May 26, going up against both the Netherlands and Prague.
