Klavs Cavars, a basketball player for Sabah, has set a new record in the FIBA Europe Cup.
According to Idman.biz, the Latvian player achieved this feat during a match in Greece, where Sabah lost 71-82 to Maroussi.
Cavars made history by recording 8 blocks in a single game, breaking the previous record held by Kervin Bristol of Kataja Basket, who set the benchmark with 7 blocks back in 2017.
In addition to his impressive defensive performance, Cavars also contributed 9 points and 13 rebounds during the game. Despite his individual achievements, Sabah was unable to advance from the group stage of the tournament, having lost all four of their matches.
