Sabah's historic win lifts Azerbaijan to 25th in UEFA ranking

Sabah's qualification for the UEFA Champions League league phase has helped Azerbaijan climb to 25th place in the UEFA association ranking.

As reported by İdman.Biz, Sabah defeated Israel's Hapoel Beer-Sheva 5-2 in the second leg of the Champions League play-off round to secure a 6-4 aggregate victory and a place in the league phase of Europe's premier club competition.

The historic victory added 1.750 points to Azerbaijan's UEFA coefficient.

As a result, Azerbaijan moved above Slovenia into 25th place in the UEFA association ranking, with the country's coefficient now standing at 23.687 points.

Sabah's achievement will also have a significant impact on the club's individual UEFA ranking. By qualifying for the Champions League league phase, the Azerbaijani champions have already secured a guaranteed bonus of 6.000 coefficient points.

Sabah had lost the first leg against Hapoel Beer-Sheva 2-1 away from home before producing a dramatic turnaround in the return fixture, winning 5-2 to advance 6-4 on aggregate.
