Rashad Sadygov: "VAR was right about the decision"

"We watched many fights. We started the match more actively. We got good scoring opportunities."

Idman.biz reports that this was said by the head coach of Zira Rashad Sadygov.

The 42-year-old specialist expressed his opinion about the match against Sabail of the 19th round of the Azerbaijan Premier League: "30-35 minutes passed in the conditions of our superiority. After that, the game was even. We cannot talk about quality football. More fighting was going on. We played on an artificial pitch and in a strong wind. The players of both teams were very willing. They worked hard to win. I was satisfied with the players. They did everything they could to win."

Sadigov also expressed his opinion on the episode of undetermined penalty: "The decision of VAR was correct in that episode. Experienced Ingilab Mammadov called the chief referee to VAR to watch the penalty episode. But the referee made a very strange decision in VAR. Our player was clearly hit on the leg, a second yellow card should be given, followed by a red card. Such decisions have been going on in the games of Zira for the fourth year already. Last year, such cases decreased a little. It was less at the beginning of the current season. Both this and the episode of the red card in the match with Qarabag... The events that happened in the previous rounds. It cannot be such a coincidence."

It should be noted that the match between Sabail and Zira ended with a score of 0:0.
