Idman.biz, citing Report news agency, reports that this was stated by the national team’s head coach Natiq Fazilov in an interview with journalists after the Azerbaijan Archery Championship and Tournament.
He expressed confidence in the athletes’ successful performance: “I would like to extend my deep gratitude to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Archery Federation for organizing this wonderful event. As you can see, the number of participants has increased. Our youth are extremely numerous. I believe this sport has a promising future. In two days, we will go to the World Championship in South Korea, and I believe we will return successfully. Our main goal is the 3rd CIS Games, which will be held in September–October. We aim to perform successfully in this tournament and win at least two medals.”
More than 60 professional athletes representing various regions of the country competed for the championship in the Azerbaijan Archery Championship and Tournament.
