Unusual scenes at Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium have surprised football fans.
As reported by İdman.Biz, heavy rain accompanied Manchester United's 5-2 Premier League victory over Ipswich Town. During the match, footage showed water pouring from the stadium roof like a waterfall.
The scenes attracted particular attention given Manchester United's significant spending in the summer transfer market. The club spent more than £150 million on new players, paying £70 million for Carlos Baleba, £50 million for Andre Santos and £35 million for Youri Tielemans.
However, despite investing heavily in strengthening the squad, the club appears yet to take major steps to resolve the roof problems at the 116-year-old Old Trafford.
Manchester United are also one of Baku-based Sabah's opponents in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League. The two teams will meet at Old Trafford on September 10.
