UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin has said he has no intention of running for the FIFA presidency and replacing Gianni Infantino.
As reported by İdman.Biz, Ceferin made the comments in an interview with The Telegraph.
"First of all, I love UEFA and I enjoy working here. I think at some point the time will come to enjoy life a little more. The second point is that if I am not interested in this position, my reputation will be much, much higher," Ceferin said.
The UEFA president also suggested that Infantino could face serious difficulties ahead of the FIFA presidential election, which is due to take place in Rabat on March 18, 2027.
"There are two options. The first is that he realises he does not have the support. I am not talking only about the political support of those who vote. I am talking about the support of the football community, the fans, players, former players and coaches.
"The second option is that he runs in the election in March. But in that case, I think he will have an opponent. At the moment, I do not know who that will be."
