Turkish Super Lig side Samsunspor have reportedly failed in their attempt to appoint former Fenerbahce head coach Domenico Tedesco as their new manager.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing CNN Türk, the club's management contacted the 41-year-old specialist and submitted an official offer. However, Tedesco turned down the proposal.
Samsunspor are searching for a new head coach after parting ways with Torsten Fink following a disappointing start to the 2026/2027 season.
The team's struggles continued in Matchday 7, when they suffered a heavy 3-0 home defeat against Trabzonspor. Samsunspor have collected just four points from seven league matches, increasing pressure on the club's management to find a solution.
Tedesco previously managed Turkish giants Fenerbahce, overseeing 45 official matches. During his tenure, the Istanbul club recorded 26 victories, 12 draws and seven defeats. He also guided the team to the Turkish Super Cup title.
After leaving Fenerbahce, the Italian-German coach took charge of Serie A side Bologna, although his spell at the Italian club proved short-lived.
Meanwhile, Samsunspor face another important league fixture on October 18, when they travel to face Kasimpasa in the Turkish Super Lig.
