As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, Azerlotereya PJSC has made another contribution to the development of sports in Azerbaijan.
A new women’s volleyball club named DH Volley has been established with the company as the main sponsor, Idman.biz reports.
Founded by DH Idman LTD, the team will compete in the 2025/2026 season of the Azerbaijan Women’s Super League and the National Cup.
To mark the occasion, a signing ceremony was held between club director Saraf Yalcin, head coach and players of DH Volley. Speaking at the press conference, Yalcin emphasized that the club is embarking on a new and ambitious journey:
“We are not just entering a new season, but also stepping into a new era with a strong and determined team. Our goal is to make a name for ourselves not only in domestic competitions but also on the international stage in 2025. We’ve strengthened our squad with national team players and elite athletes with European experience. With this roster, we believe DH Volley will be a top contender for the title. Our mission is to add value to Azerbaijani volleyball in the short term and to establish DH Volley as a respected European brand in the long term.”
He also expressed gratitude to Shahin Baghirov, President of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation, for his support in the club’s foundation.
The team will be led by decorated former player and now head coach Farid Jalalov. The roster includes seasoned players such as captain Aynur Imanova, Katerina Jidkova, Ceyran Imanova, Nilufar Aghazade, and Raziya Aliyeva.
Azarlotereya PJSC continues to support various initiatives to promote youth participation in sports, healthy lifestyles, and the development of professional teams. With its Misli brand, the company signed a landmark cooperation agreement with the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation in 2024 to further boost the sport’s growth. The establishment of DH Volley is a key milestone in expanding this collaboration.
