Azerbaijan's national team of women's volleyball players has started to compete in the European Championship.
İdman.biz reports that the team led by Ataman Güneyligil met the Czech team in its first game in Group C.
The match played in Dusseldorf, Germany ended with a 3:0 (25:21, 25:10, 25:15) victory for our national team.
In the other match of this group, Turkey defeated Sweden by the same score.
It should be noted that along with Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Turkey and Sweden, German and Greek teams are competing in group C. Belgium, Italy, Germany and Estonia will host the continental championship, which will last until September 3. The top four countries in the group will advance to the 1/8 finals.
