Azerbaijani volleyball clubs, preparing to play in European competitions, will play both games of the first round at in Baku.
İdman.biz reports that "Azerrail", the national champion among women’s teams,and "Khari Bulbul", silver medalist of the men’s championship, will perform in the Challenge Cup. "Azerrail" will face Ukraine’s "Balta" team, and "Khari Bulbul" will face Slovakian "Spartak" in the 1/32 final. According to the agreement of the clubs, both games of the opening round of the tournament will be held in Baku.
On October 17, "Azerrail" will play the first match against "Balta" at the "Darnagul" Volleyball Center, and the next day, the return match will be held, where the Ukrainian club will be the nominal host.
"Khari Bulbul" will play its first match against "Spartak" on October 25, and the next day, the rivals will have a second match at the same "Darnagul" Volleyball Center. For the Shusha team, the performance in the European competitions will be the debut in the international arena.
