The table tennis competitions at the World University Summer Games held in Germany’s Rhine-Ruhr region are ongoing.
According to correspondent of Idman.biz sent to Germany, Azerbaijani player Khadija Abilzade defeated Uganda’s representative Teddy Wotanaberu in a tense five-set match with a score of 3:2.
Abilzade, together with Zemfira Mikayilova, also secured a 3:0 victory in their doubles match against the Chilean duo D. Fuentes and I. Olivares.
Sabina Mammadova lost to Natasha Sivratna (Sri Lanka), and Nigar Mahmudova was defeated by Angie Tan (USA), both with a score of 0:3.
Zemfira Mikayilova also lost her singles match to Maria Taylakova (AIN) with a score of 0:3.
Meanwhile, Nihad Samadzade lost in three sets to Chong Fai Hei (Macau), and Tural Mirzayev was also defeated with the same score by Edri Caballes (Philippines).
