The Azerbaijani national table tennis team is participating in the European Youth Series in Turkiye.
Idman.biz reports that in the team competitions of the tournament organized in Nevşehir, under the leadership of coaches Ramil Jafarov and Elnur Hidayatzade, the team consisting of Onur Guluzade, Shakir Gadirov, Yagmur Mammadli and Banu Baytalli won the second place among athletes under 13 years of age.
The team consisting of Tunar Baghirov, Ugur Nazarli, Shabnam Mansurova and Khadija Eylazova won a bronze medal in the competition of athletes under 15 years of age.
The president of the Turkish Table Tennis Federation, Oktay Cimen, and the general secretary of the Azerbaijan Table Tennis Federation, Konul Mikayilova, presented the awards. The final matches in both age groups were entrusted to Zaur Mikayilov and Khayala Giyasova, international judges.
Azerbaijani athletes will show their skills in personal fighting on the last days of the competition, which will be concluded on March 17.
