The Azerbaijani youth national diving team has completed its participation in the 12th Sofia Cup.
The team was represented by Amina Hasanbayova, Ayla Huseynova, Maqsud Tahirli, Mehri Agayeva, and Muhammad Huseynov under the guidance of head coach Anton Melnikov, Idman.biz reports.
Alongside the Azerbaijani athletes, competitors from Bulgaria, Germany, Lithuania, Hungary, Norway, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Turkiye, and Greece also took part in the tournament.
The Azerbaijani team secured a total of 3 gold medals, all won by Maqsud Tahirli. He stepped onto the podium in the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events, as well as the 5-meter platform.
Over 160 athletes competed in the event.
