UFC star Merab Dvalishvili has praised the organization of the upcoming UFC Fight Night in Baku, calling it an event of top international standards.
Idman.biz, citing Report, reports that the 34-year-old Georgian fighter shared his impressions with journalists ahead of the event set to take place on June 21 at the Baku Crystal Hall.
“Everything is organized at the highest level,” said Dvalishvili. “I’m visiting Azerbaijan for the first time, and I love it here. The food is amazing. Azerbaijan and Georgia are brotherly countries, and I’m truly happy to be here.”
Currently one of the leading fighters in the bantamweight division, Dvalishvili also spoke about Azerbaijani UFC fighter Nazim Sadykhov:
“We’re friends and have trained together in the U.S. We’ve got a surprise prepared for the fans, which you’ll see during the fight. Azerbaijan is lucky to host such a big event. I hope one day UFC comes to Georgia too, though I know how difficult that is.”
UFC Fight Night will take place on June 21 at Baku Crystal Hall, marking a significant moment in Azerbaijani combat sports history.
