Azerbaijani mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Zaur Gadzhiyev, known by the nickname “Panther”, defeated Russia’s Vadim Ogar at the ACA 199 tournament held in Krasnodar at the Basket-Hall arena.
According to İdman.Biz, the bout ended in a unanimous decision, with all three judges awarding all three rounds to Gadzhiyev by an identical score of 30-27.
It is worth noting that the fight was contested at a high pace. In one episode, Ogar came close to securing an early victory after attempting a heel hook, but Gadzhiyev managed to withstand the pressure and take the fight to a winning decision.
This victory marked the second ACA win for the 25-year-old Gadzhiyev. He earned his first victory in the promotion in September last year, defeating Russia’s Imam Vitakhanov by submission. Gadzhiyev is known for his unique physical attributes: competing in the lightweight division, he stands 185 cm tall.
Returning to the ACA event in Krasnodar, it should also be noted that in the main event of the evening, Russia’s Ramazan Emeev defeated his compatriot Artem Frolov by unanimous decision (30-26).
