There has been a change in the Azerbaijan national karate team’s lineup for the final stage of the Premier League, set to take place in Rabat, Morocco.
Huseyn Mammadli has now been included in the official entry list in the 67 kg weight category, Idman.biz reports.
Mammadli is a bronze medalist from last year’s European Championship.
With this update, five Azerbaijani karatekas will compete in the Premier League starting on May 30 including the three-time world champion Irina Zaretska (68 kg), Nuran Rzazada (67 kg), Huseyn Mammadli (67 kg), Farid Agayev (75 kg), and Rashid Suleymanov (75 kg).
Notably, 383 athletes from 67 countries are expected to compete in the Rabat event.
