Azerbaijani karateka Irina Zaretska (68 kg) believes that no opponent can stop her.
Idman.Biz reports that the 29-year-old athlete shared her thoughts in a post on her personal Instagram account.
The experienced karateka reflected on winning the bronze medal at the World Championship held in Cairo, Egypt:
“The match for third place was amazing. I made a mistake in the semifinal, which limited my chance to reach the final and achieve a greater success. Nevertheless, I am proud because I am strong and determined. Once again, I proved that nothing and no one can stop me.”
She also recalled that this is the fifth time she has finished among the medalists at senior World Championships:
“I have been among the best for 10 years, and there are still more successes ahead.”

It should be noted that Irina Zaretska represented Ukraine at the 2014 World Championship, winning a bronze medal. She then won gold representing Azerbaijan in 2018, 2021, and 2023.
