Azerbaijani karate athletes won eight medals at the 32nd “SKDUN Shotokan Karate” World Championship and the 17th World Cup held in Bedzin, Poland.
According to Idman.Biz, citing the Azerbaijani Karate Federation, our representatives competed in various age and weight categories, securing two gold, two silver, and four bronze medals.
At the World Championship, Jalal Shukurov (ages 10–11, 40 kg) and Mehdi Abdullayev (ages 10–11, +40 kg) took first place; Alishan Azizov (ages 18–20, 70 kg) and Aladdin Azizov (ages 55–59, “Veteran Open”) won silver; Zaki Jafarzade (ages 18–20, +80 kg) and Heydar Feyziyev (ages 12–13, 58 kg) claimed bronze.
At the World Cup, Zaman Musayev (ages 7–9, 30 kg) and Murad Bayramov (ages 7–9, 30 kg) earned bronze medals.
