The European Cup holds great importance for junior judokas.
Idman.biz, citing Report, informs that this was stated by Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov as he shared his thoughts on the tournament taking place in Guba.
"Azerbaijan has become a global sports hub thanks to successful policies. This week alone, our country is hosting three international tournaments. The European Judo Cup is not being held here for the first time, and the number of athletes is increasing every year. It has been quite successful so far. The Guba Olympic Complex offers excellent facilities for the event," Gayibov said.
The European Cup, which kicked off today, will conclude on May 4.
