Azerbaijan Judo Federation (AJF) and Baku City Youth and Sports Department jointly organized the Baku Judo Championship among men and women.
Idman.biz reports that the winners of 14 weight classes among women and men were announced in the competition held at the Sports Health Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) located in Hovsan settlement.
187 judokas from 39 different clubs, societies and sports organizations of Baku competed for medals in the championship.
On the second day of the competition, the winners were announced among men in 66 kg, 81 kg and 100 kg weight categories, and among women in 52 kg and 78 kg weight categories.
The main goal of the championship is to form a healthy lifestyle among young people through sports, as well as to achieve mass promotion and promotion of judo. The competition is a selection for the Azerbaijan championship between women and men, which will be held on December 15-18.
