Fuad Rzayev, the new head coach of the “Neftchi” futsal club, says he is happy to join the capital’s representative team.
According to Idman.biz, the specialist said this in an interview with Report news agency.
He stated that there is great responsibility on his shoulders: “Being appointed as the head coach of this club comes with a lot of responsibility. ‘Neftchi’ is a historic team of Azerbaijan. When you receive an offer from this club, you should accept it without hesitation. The current ‘Neftchi’ management consists of professionals. Working with them will be very interesting because the management knows what they want and they have clear goals.”
Rzayev emphasized that new players are being brought into the team: “We are working on adding both local and foreign players to the squad. Of course, achieving the desired effect may take some time. The lack of local players in the country makes our job more difficult. However, with the support of the management, foreign futsal players have been invited to the club. Our goal is to become champions. The name ‘Neftchi’ must always be at the top.”
Fuad Rzayev replaced Ilkin Hajiyev as head coach. Last season, “Neftchi” finished third in the Azerbaijan Premier League with 43 points.
