Vice-President of Araz-Nakhchivan: "We were forced to let them go"

"The contracts of the head coach and players ended on May 31. It is a professional club, the players want to be paid. Since this is not provided for in the budget, we were forced to let them go."

Mahmud Sadigov, vice-president of Araz-Nakhchivan, who lost to PFL in the final of the national futsal cup, told Sport24.az, reports Idman.biz.

Assessing the decisive match, Sadigov emphasized that the schedule was determined by the federation, and therefore they were forced to play the final match with local youth: "We knew it would be difficult. We went out on the field and played as hard as we could. The opponent's squad is strong. After the first half, I felt that our futsal players were tired. It is difficult to fight with 5 people until the last second. The final match of the cup is determined by the federation. When we signed the contract with the players, we had planned until May 31. If the time of the match had been specified in advance, we would have signed an agreement with them until June 15. That was fate. I congratulate the opponent."

Azerbaijan Futsal Cup was won by PFL, which defeated Araz-Nakhchivan in the final with a score of 7:1. Nakhchivan representative became the champion of the current season.
