Idman.biz, citing Sport24.az, reports that the Mariners have decided to retain some of the foreign players who wore the team’s jersey last season, in addition to recruiting local players during the offseason.
The Mariners will continue with David Gomis and Dmytro Lytvyn. Both the Ukrainian defender and the Guinea-Bissau-born French forward will wear Sabail’s jersey for another season.
Based on last season’s results, the capital’s team finished last in the Misli Premier League and was relegated to the First League.
