The experienced specialist spoke about Qarabag’s 3-0 away victory over the Irish team Shelbourne in the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round: "The team completely outclassed its opponent in terms of experience, build-up play, and individual skill. From the first minutes of the game, the Agdam representative seized the initiative and skillfully exploited the opponent’s weak defense. Before the match, Shelbourne's management made ambitious statements. We thought they were confident and would pose a serious challenge to Qarabag. But Gurban Gurbanov's team showed that their level of skill is far superior to their opponent. That’s why they secured a big win. Gurban Gurbanov said after the match that the tie is not over yet. But in my opinion, it is, Qarabag has already secured qualification to the next round. We will beat Shelbourne in Baku as well."
The return leg between the teams will be held on July 30 at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium.
