"Joining Croatia’s Varazdin was an important decision for me."
Azerbaijani footballer Rufat Abdullazada said this in an interview with AZERTAC regarding his transfer to Croatian club Varazdin, Idman.biz reports.
He expressed his happiness about playing abroad: “I received a very warm welcome at the club from day one, and I’ve felt great support from both the management and my teammates. The training sessions are very intense, with a high tempo. That demands my full effort. At the moment, I’m working on an individual training program, and I believe I’ll fully adapt to the team’s rhythm within a month. The management is very open and constantly in touch with the players, which helps a lot with adaptation. It’s planned for me to play on the right wing, but that could change based on the coaches’ decisions. The city is small but very friendly. This peace and calm are ideal for me to fully focus on football. My main goal is to be useful to the team, perform consistently, and improve in every match.”
Rufat Abdullazada has signed a 3-year contract with Varazdin.
