Details behind Kennedy Boateng's failed transfer to Neftchi from Romanian club Dinamo have been revealed.
Idman.biz, citing Sport24.az, reports that the information comes from a source close to the Neftchi.
The main obstacle to the transfer was the 28-year-old defender's high financial demands. Additionally, the Bucharest-based club was unwilling to release the Togolese player.
It was even reported how much Neftchi was ready to pay for Boateng. The Baku club was prepared to offer €500,000 for the African footballer. If an agreement had been reached, the defender’s salary would have been roughly the same amount.
